After joining our group, modernization efforts began with the purchase of a 200,000 tons/year capacity paper production machine from Holmen Paper Madrid S.L. The machine was dismantled in the first quarter of 2013 and underwent significant revisions and upgrades to achieve a target capacity of 300,000 tons/year, starting production at the Balıkesir SEKA facility. Varaka Paper Industry Inc. began operations in mid-2019 after trial productions.
